When we get time to eat together, without little boys running around, and uninterrupted by the workweek (this means Sunday), I’ll turn to Matt and say something like “cucumber sounds refreshing!”
He’ll chew on the idea for a bit and come back to me with “I’m thinking grapes, red onion, celery, etc.” He follows hints for elements of whatever I mention, and after we go back and forth, a perfect feast is born. It’s one of my most-liked things about us - shared excitement for invention, with the bonus of doing it all side by side.
